Most dog beds are something you tuck away when guests arrive. This one is not. The Country Check cover is cut from a heavy drill fabric with real weight to it, so the bed feels substantial underfoot and looks like a piece of furniture rather than pet kit. The pattern is exclusive to us at the moment, so you will not see the same bed in your neighbour’s hallway.

Two fillings, two very different feels.
Dogs do not all sleep the same way, so you choose how this bed is filled. A foam filling gives a firmer, more supportive surface that suits heavier dogs and older joints, and it holds its shape far longer than loose stuffing. A fibre filling gives a softer, lighter, more cloud-like bed for dogs that prefer to sink in and burrow.

SIZED FOR REAL DOGS, INCLUDING THE BIG ONES

Plenty of beds described as large are anything but. These are not. Measure your dog lying down from nose to tail base, add 10 to 15 cm, and pick the size that lets them stretch right out. If your dog falls between two sizes, go up.
- 40″ x 30″ for medium breeds such as Spaniels, Border Collies and Cockapoos.
- 40″ x 45″ for Labradors, Golden Retrievers and dogs that sprawl.
- 54″ x 40″ for German Shepherds, Rottweilers and giant breeds.

HONEST NOTES BEFORE YOU BUY
What this bed does brilliantly, and what it will not do.
The drill fabric is hard-wearing and copes well with daily use, muddy paws and the usual scratching and circling. It is not, however, chew-proof. If your dog is a determined chewer, they may still damage it over time, and a wipe-clean or waterproof bed will serve you better.
- Strong chewers: consider our heavy duty waterproof dog beds instead.
- Wet-weather walkers: a wipe clean faux leather bed is easier to keep fresh.
